Friday Photos

First thing in the morning and last thing in the afternoon. To cheer up a day when the Conservatives got in for another five years. It has been an interesting election, especially with what has happened in Scotland. Labour trounced, SNP in, almost like independence in another way.
Irises in the little park I walk through just before getting to school. I like the colour of the graffiti in the second one as it compliments the colour of the flowers.
Lots of duckling photos. They went home today. They are going to live on a green somewhere in the country with a duck pond, so the duck man said.

They all rushed towards me-must have thought the camera was food.
A last cuddle before they go.

It was damp and slightly muggy when I got off the bus with strange stormy light, so all the flowers looked particularly pretty. Wisteria and red door, lilac and white house.
I love the dragon details on these houses. They are just up the road from where we live.
I like the wisteria with the blue door slightly more than the red.

Hello! Yes, very interesting election results though unfortunately the overall result is that the Tories now have free reign to implement their poilcies. At least they were held somewhat in check by the Lib Dems over the last five years though the Lib Dems have paid heavily for that now.
I am under the impression that the Tories mounted what was effectively an anti-Scottish campaign to the detriment of Labour. Despite the SNP triumph I have to say that I never saw any anti-English sentiment here, nor was there much evidence of any during the referendum campaign. It's really all about having a fairer, less divisive society which looks unlikely to happen with the Tories. For most people their sentiments are not nationalist at all, it just seems that the only way we can get the kind of government we want is to do it ourselves.

Loving the wisteria and blue door photo, the lilac and of course, those super cute ducklings. We had the same at our school. They now have their forever home in the garden of one of our Reception teachers! Have a good week. Ros
